These heated ultrasonic baths are suitable for sonochemistry, degassing and sample dissolution and cleaning of delicate or fragile components/glassware especially where there may be a risk of breakage as a result of manual cleaning. The addition of heaters on this range ensures that optimum operating temperature for maximum ultrasonic efficiency is reached rapidly.

 

Using high performance piezoelectric disc transducers to ensure, consistent ultrasonic activity throughout the tank liquid ideal for laboratory routines. The activity is called cavitation - this is created by pressure waves, which causes bubbles to form and collapse.

Comprising of a stainless steel tank housed in a durable paint finished outer case. Wipe clean controls feature bold 2 digit LED display of actual temperature, adjusting temperature and time and activating sonics.

Heating/Cooling Information

1. It is recommended that to achieve consistent heating, minimise evaporation and act as a dust cover, preventing contamination when ultrasonic bath is not in use, it should be covered with LD series accessory lid - detailed below.
2. It is essential that either BSK series Baskets or SLU series Lids are used in order to prevent items from touching bottom or side of the tank - accessories detailed below.

Safety Features

1. A Safety cut-out liquid level sensor constantly monitors the water level and switches the heaters and ultrasonics off when low liquid levels are detected. An audible sounder is also triggered.
2. Water Depth
The tank overall depth is 150mm.
The tank overall maximum working depth is 120mm.
The water level sensor is fitted at a depth 60mm from top of the tank, providing minimum water level - approx 90mm.
The sensor is fitted adjacent to "MIN -----------" stamped into the tank, this is minimum water level for the ultrasonic bath. To prevent the 'low liquid alarm' being activated, it must be filled above this level with 'tap' water/conventional ultrasonic bath detergents.

2. In use do not allow items to touch base of the tank, BSK series Baskets or SLU series Lids are recommended in order to prevent items from touching bottom or side of the tank - accessories detailed below.
